Beauty News: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

If you're a fan of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes then this will definitely spark your interest. Recently Urban Decay announced that there will be a new Naked palette on the market, one which is completely different than the two before.

When I first saw pictures and swatches of the eyeshadows in the palette I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the palette would include colours similar to the palettes from before but their completely different. Naked 3 has a more ethereal and soft touch to it, including lots of shimmery shades and pinks and warm neutral colours.

There are 3 matte shades in the palette and the rest are shimmery. I don't mind this as much as I'm glad the eyeshadows are completely new to the brand.

This has gone straight to the top of my beauty wishlist and I think it's going to be a big hit in the beauty department. Its rumoured to be out in the UK in December.

What do you think of this palette? Will you be getting it when its launched?

Christmas Wishlist ♥

I haven't done a wishlist in what seems like forever, so what better way to get into the holiday spirit by compiling a bunch of beauty and fashion items together for a Christmas edition wishlist!

There have been so many beauty and fashion items that I've had my eyes on for the past year, and its finally approaching Christmas time where I can splurge on myself and others and not feel bad about it. The Michael Kors Selma Studded clutch (found here) has been on my wishlist forever, and I've decided that Christmas is the time to splurge and get my hands on it. I think its perfect for both day and night and super easy to match with any outfit. Keeping up with the black theme, I've been in love with the Prada card holder (here) for longer than I can remember. I love it the colour fuchsia and orchard pink as its a nice change from black, but the black is also gorgeous too. The Zara crocodile city bag with 3 compartments is an absolute beauty that has made my wishlist too (here).  I love Zara bags in general so this is no surprise to anyone who reads my blog! I think the colours on the bag make it wearable both day and night as it has enough room to carry a bunch of items during the day.

I've been loving two things from Topshop lately. I fell in love with the Rio Part 2 Heels (here) that I saw on the website recently. I don't know how these will look on, but I'm going to have to try them to see. *fingers crossed* Sandal heels have been really popular both with designer and high street brands, and I thought that these were a good combination between the sandal heels with enough heel height. I also love the Leather Jacket with zips available from Topshop. They always seem to have the best jackets and coats around fall and winter time.

As for beauty products, there have too many products on my wishlist that I've been meaning to purchase. Have you ever found yourself loving something and writing it in your notes on your phone? My notes have currently been overflowing with beauty products that I've been wanting to get for a while now. The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze (here) has been a product I've loved for years, but I've just forgot to repurchase. I love that it has 5 different shades that you can mix together to create a highlight, and you can also use the shades individually for eyeshadow. The Chanel Coco Shine lipstick is one of my favourite from the brand, and I've had my eyes on shades '54 Boy' and '58 Evasion.' Both are perfect nude/pink shades that will moisturize and add some colour to the lips.

I've had my eyes on the Nars 'One Night Stand' blush palette that recently launched in the UK. This definitely has to be at the stop of my beauty wishlist as I've heard bloggers and beauty junkies rave about this product. It's great for traveling and having a variety of colours on the go.

The sad thing is, this is basically only half the items on my wishlist. It's more christmas orientated as the items are on the more expensive side, but theres still a bunch of beauty and fashion products waiting to be bought. I've been waiting for Pay day to come along so that I can finally get my hands on items that I've been meaning to get for so long!

Whats on your Christmas wishlist?

New In: Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Tote

As I was browsing on Net-A-Porter, I couldn't help but glance over at the new arrivals and see whats new on the fashion market this week. Net-A-Porter are one of the best website for keeping up to fashion trends in my opinion, so I always rely on them to keep updated on new items on the market.

I was immediately drawn to the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour Tote. I mean, who wouldn't be? I love a classic black bag but there was something unique that stood out to me with this one. I love the simplicity and the fact that you can pair it with almost anything, day and night time, and be good to go.

It has a very birkin-esque feel to the bag, which is why I think I was drawn to it because I have an ongoing love affair for birkins. Although the price tag was quickly unjustified in my head, it didn't stop me from obsessing over the bag. I wanted to share this with you guys to keep updated on whats new on the market and give a little insight to different designers and their recent collections. I'm sure there are several high-street handbags that could easily make for a dupe of this bag, but nothing beats the simplicity and sleekness of the black on black leather Saint Laurent.

Isn't it a beauty?

Zara Mini Office City Bag

Zara have been designing some of the best handbags in their recent collection. The Mini Office City bag does not fall short of my favourite bags from them ever, and its a great alternative for high end bags without the hefty $$$ sign. If you're a fan of the original Zara office city bag, which has been a huge hit from the brand, then you'll probably be familiar with the style and shape of the bag.

I love the style of this bag. The straps that come with the bag are big plus, as you have the option to wear the handbag as a crossbody and over the shoulder, or on your arm as you wish.

The bag comes in both navy (pictured above) and burgandy:

The mini office city is literally a compressed version of the original office city bag. The original bag has been extremely popular, but the mini version seems more appealing to me. The original office city bag looks like this:

I've been on the fence of purchasing the original office city bag ever since it first came out, because it was just too large for me. Although it is completely efficent and useful at carrying a lot of things, I felt that the bag would get too heavy for me and that I wouldn't wear on it a regular basis. One thing I do believe it is good for is if you're carrying laptops or electronics on a daily basis, that this bag will hold it all and you'll look stylish at the same time.

One thing I do really like about both the original office city bag and the mini version, is the compartments within the bag. Many times than not, I always end up loosing half the items I put in my bag and they never find their way out. I love the look of the interior of these bags and think its a great way to keep your stuff organized and the inside well maintained.

Want another plus side to the bag? It retails for £29.99. Find it here :)

Brandy ♥ Melville

Brandy Melville are my absolute go to brand for graphic tees and everyday clothes. I was first introduced to their brand by my friend from California, who predicted the success of the clothing line as it started to get international. Here in london, I believe there is only one store on the Kings Road, but its safe to say I've made one too many visits and stepped out with pieces that have become staple pieces in my wardrobe.

Here are some of my favourites from the brand lately:
Shoot with David Apuzzo. Brandy Melville top. brandy melville "you can't sit with us." shirt

Brandy ♥ Melville | Bethan Dress - Just In

And ofcourse we can't forget about the infamous brandy logos..

My Brandy Melville clothes collection isn't as big as I'd hope it be, but you never know how quick that can change. I'm on their website now and have fallen in love with too many tops and dresses as their clothes are so easy to wear in several different styles. Wish me luck!

How To: Make Your Make Up Last All Day

Hi loves, so this post has been one that has been in the works for a while now. I've always been meaning to get back to it and publish it but I always felt like it didn't hit all the correct points of how to successfully make your make up last all day. After the long hot summer days I've used trial and error to see what works and what doesn't work, and these are my tips to ensure that your make up stays on all day and keeps you looking good throughout the day!

Tip 1: Use a primer
Primers are essential for keeping your make up from sliding off during the day. Although not everyone may need to use a primer (e.g if you have dry skin), but if you're on the combination & oily side then I definitely recommend it. I dont nessesarily use a primer every single day, but on days where I need my make up to last the whole day I will use it before my foundation ensure the make up that goes on top of it to last all day. An alternative to this may be something like a moisturizer that acts as a primer so you don't have to do two steps.

Tip 2: Powder your skin & Set your make up

If you're not a fan of primers, I definitely recommend you do this step. Setting your make up can make a huge difference in how long it lasts. Powder will set your make up in place and ensure it from moving around on the skin. If you're a fan of luminous skin and like the 'glow' factor, then powder lightly in your T-zone and leave the rest to glow. However, if youre prone to oily skin then I definitely recommend powdering over your foundation and setting your make up to ensure no creasing and to allow the make up to hold together for longer.

Tip 3: Go easy with the contour

We all love to contour our face, myself included, to get that chizzled bone structure to make our face appear slimmer: however, when you want make up to last all day long simply skip this step and go for an overall bronzed look rather than creating harsh contour lines. The contour may last for a few hours, but many products can end up look muddy or chalky on the skin which is what we want to avoid if we want the make up to last all day. Instead, put bronzer at the high points of your face (forehead, cheeks, jaw line) and where the sun would hit naturally so that you're achieving a more natural look whilst also giving yourself a faux tan.

Tip 4: Avoid loose eyeshadows, go for neutral cream shadows

This is one of the biggest mistakes we make. A lot of people attempt to use loose eyeshadows such as glittery or shimmery shades on their lid, which will only fall out a few hours later. Make sure you're using a pigmented eyeshadow, that will stay on your eyes all day. I recommend using cream shadows as they are super easy to apply and last for hours without any touch up or maintenance required. If you want to get creative with your look, I recommend matte eyeshadows that will stay in place all day and will create a neutral look that isn't too heavy for day time.

Tip 5: Use Gel eyeliner instead of liquid

Gel eyeliner has quickly become my holy grail eyeliner product over the last year or so. I've always loved liquid liner and still do, but gel liner does not move around whatsoever. I'm talking 12+ hours of longetivity. Gel eyeliner's consistency is a lot thicker than liquid or pencil liner, so it stays on your eyes for much longer and doesnt smudge. Liquid liner can wear off during the day and can smudge if you're one of those people who frequently touch their face. Pencil liner is the last thing you want to reach for if you want your make up to last, because it will slip off your eyes in a matter of hours. Whenever I've used pencil eyeliner on my lower lash line, I end up having to wipe off the product that has fallen down underneath my eye. I really recommend Mac's gel liner or a cheaper alternative is Maybelline gel liner: both work great and stay on all day!

Tip 6: Use lip balm and lipstains instead of lipstick/ lipgloss

Although lipsticks and lip stains may last a while on your lips, you're going to be drinking and eating throughout the day so you dont want to keep on reapplying. This one is completely up to you: but I tend to avoid lipsticks as they tend to settle into fine lines on the lips and needs constant touch ups. Instead, go for a lip balm or tinted lip balm that will nourish your lips as well as give them some colour. This way you dont have to worry about touching up and your lips will remain super moisturized throughout the day!

Overall Tip: Blend blend blend!

I cannot stress how important blending your make up is to ensure longetivity. Whether you are using bronzer, blush, eyeshadow or anything: be sure you've blended out any harsh edges and lines to ensure your make up blends onto your skin rather than leaving noticeable lines. Make up tends to clump and crease together after a few hours, but if you've blended well then this wont be the case.

These were all my tips & tricks for make up to last all day :) hope this post helped!

September Wishlist ♥

September Wishlist

How has September come already?! I feel like it was only a few weeks ago that summer had just begun and the weather was getting warmer. Although summer is my favourite season, I do love fall and the beginning of warm nights in. Wishlist posts are my favourite to read as I love seeing other peoples style and interests. I also get a lot of inspiration from wishlist posts because everyone has such unique taste that there is always something you'll end up loving from their favourites!

My September wishlist is mainly fashion items, with two beauty products included. I still feel as though I'm shopping for summer products because the weather has been warm here in New York. My next monthly post will probably all jackets and boots preparing for the winter months but I thought since I missed a few monthly wishlist posts I might as well incorporate some summer items. Hope you enjoy!

Zara White Mini Skort
I've been seeing this short/skirt on SO many bloggers & celebrities that I'm in desperate need of it! I think the style is so flattering and unique. Its been such a big hit over the summer that I think I need my hands on it.

Forever 21 Baby Blue Leather Handbag
I'm usually a very black or white handbag girl, and never really branch out with colour. I came accross this whilst online shopping and fell in love with the colour and style of it. I'm quite picky about handbags as I like to see them and test them out in store, so I held off on purchasing it. I love the gold detailing in the strap and think the colour is absolutely gorgeous. It'll be next on the list for when I go shopping!

Topshop Rio 2-Part Heels
These heels are a spin on the 'sandal heels' that everyone have been obsessing over for the past few months. I really like the heel length in these as I think the style is classic. Black stilettos are easy to wear and go with everything - how can you go wrong?

Missguided Halterneck Skater Dress
I never really got into skater dresses until this summer, as I assumed they wouldn't suit me. After I took the plunge and made my first skater dress order from Asos, I've been obsessed with them since. I think this one from missguided is a nice shape and style that its wearable for a night out!

Forever 21 Triangle Charm Necklace
If you dont already know, I love any sort of statement necklaces.  I love the traingles on this necklace as it makes for an everyday one, or can be dressed up for the night time. My necklaces usually vary drastically as some are super chunky & bold, whereas some as very simple and everyday-ish. I like how this is the perfect medium that could fit for both occasions!

YSL Rouge Veloupte Lipstick in 29
After sampling this product in Sephora a few weeks ago, I fell in love with the colour. I dont own any YSL lipsticks but I've heard several times that they are a game changer in the lipstick market.

Nars Lipgloss in Angelika
I love the formula of Nars lipglosses: they are super pigmented and last long on the lips. I've purchased a few different shades before and love how bright the colour Angelika is. It's a hot pink shade that I think will suit any type of eye make up for an evening out!

That's my wishlist for September :) if any of these items are on your wishlist or favourites leave a comment down below, I'd love to hear about it :)

May Wishlist ♥

May Wishlist

Hi lovelies, here's my Wishlist for the month of May. I've been loving a lot of colour recently hence the colorful wishlist. I think bold colours are so gorgeous and are going to be huge this summer so lets get right into the products.

1.  ♥ Celeb Boutique 'Michelle' Purple Bandage Dress
I've been on the search for a colorful dress as I have a wedding coming up this month, and thought this dress from Celeb Boutique was gorgeous. I love the the shape of it and that it has straps because bandeau dresses aren't always very flattering on me, especially if there are going to be a lot of photos taken. The purple is great for a summer wedding so if I dont find another dress hopefully I will be purchasing it!

2. ♥ Accessorize Futurist Triangle Necklace
Accessorize are my go to store for jewelery. I always manage to find something I love in there and always want more than I can afford. I love their necklaces and have purchased a few simple chain ones recently, but this is my next item on my wishlist. I love the small triangles and think it would look great with any outfit as its not too much of a statement piece!

3. ♥ Nars Laguna Bronzer
I used to be obsessed with this bronzer until I started using my Benefit Hoola and Chanel Bronzer that this just got left behind. To make matters worse, I actually dropped and cracked my laguna and never ended up repurchasing it. I love wearing this bronzer in the summer as it has a slight shimmer which looks great on the cheeks and adds a summer tan & glow to the skin.

4. ♥ Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation
To be honest, I've never been a fan of Mac foundations until now. One of my friends uses this foundation and it makes her skin look absolutely flawless. I never believed this was what she used so I decided to try it myself and got a sample from a Mac counter. I actually really love the finish of this foundation and actually find that its not too thick or cakey at all! A little goes a long way with this product and I love how it gives a matte finish. Its great in flash photography too!

5. ♥ Zara Mini Shopper Handbag
The orange/ coral colour of this gem is absolutely beautiful. I've been looking for colorful handbags recently and Zara is definitely the place to go. I love that its afforable and looks incredibly stylist - always good when you wont end up spending a fortune and buy a great bag.

6. ♥ Mac Lipstick in 'Coral Bliss'
I've seen bloggers rave about this lipstick and described it as a summer must have.  I love that its a coral colour which will look really nice with a tan. I dont have too many bright Mac lipsticks which is my excuse for wanting this one - thats acceptable, right?

What's on your May Wishlist? I'd love to hear :)

A Shoe Classic: Jimmy Choo Wedges

Jimmy Choo Wegdes: A classic Guide

Jimmy Choo are notoriously known for their beautiful shoes. Although they may be expensive, the shapes and styles of the shoes are definitely worth investing in. They have been a major part of running the shoe game and we all can all tell why. The brand boats in diversity as they create the most beautiful shoes for every occasion: flats, heels, sandals, boots, and my favourite style of theirs: wedges. Jimmy Choo's wedges are extremely classic, and as a shoe-obsessed blogger I just had to write a post on the ultimate wedges perfect for summer. I find that every website that I look on, I always find myself steering back to Jimmy Choo's for wedges - I haven't found any that compare.
My two favourite style of the Choo wedges are:

The Preya & The Pela

Both are quite similar but have different features. The Pela is a simple wedge tied around the ankle. The Preya is similar but with an added strap detail on the ankle, which creates the allusion of longer legs as the straps go higher. Although these shoes are expensive, I definitely think the quality of the make will ensure longevity. There are plenty of colours to choose from, but I think neutral always looks the best in summer! Or even a bright and bold colour. If I ever end up buying high end designer shoes, I always live in fear of damaging them and forever living in guilt for the money I spent. Ladies, if you're taking the plunge with these shoes - make sure you take good care of them!

Never the less, I had to share my favourite type of wedges with you guys as we are approaching summer and the weather in London is finally looking up!

What are your favourite wedges?
