Gift Guide: For The Home

Candle // Baubles // Tray // Tea Cup Set // Bottle Stopper // Gold Hearts // Coasters // Journal // Tealight Holder // Biscuit Tin // Gold Candle

I love decorating when it comes to this time of year so here are my favorite picks and gift ideas for the home. I'm really into golds this year for decor (and I get so much inspiration from Pinterest!) as it goes really well with christmas decor but can also be used after the holidays. This Christmas themed candle and the bottle stopper are my favorites from the list as I just love how simple yet glam they look.

There are also so many amazing sales and discounts at the moment which I've featured in my previous Gift Guide post but for a very quick round up… Missguided, Shopbop, Harvey Nichols and Asos are all featuring 20% off and over on their websites. I've linked some other home decor options down below too. If you're like me and are doing most your shopping from the comfort of your home then I advise taking advantage of the discounts!

Review: Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb Perfume

It's rare that I blog about single products that often so I wanted start incorporating some posts about a product that I don't go a day without and tell you why. It's almost going to be like a mini review for you guys to see why I like it and how it works etc. Today I'll be talking about my favorite perfume: Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf.

I can never leave the house without a spritz of this perfume as I feel like I'm not completely 'ready.' Does anyone else ever feel that way? The scent is a mixture of jasmine, vanilla and floral tones and it has a beautiful musk undertone in the scent that leaves it smelling so fresh.  I love how it's not overbearing or a heavy perfume at all, it feels really light and airy but it also lasts a long time. I first purchased this perfume back in the summer and it was honestly the best summer perfume. I still wear it everyday and I'm only about half way through the bottle so the value of the price goes a long way.

Flowerbomb is available at Selfridges, House of Fraser and John Lewis. It's also available at Nordstrom for US readers :)

Hope you enjoyed this post and as always, thanks for reading. Be sure to follow me on Bloglovin to keep updated with new posts (Hint hint: there's a very much anticipated Christmas Gift Guide coming your way soon!)  Xx A

November Wishlist

November Wishlist

Another month another wishlist. These posts are always a lovely reminder of the things I've been lusting after that I can easily refer back to them and shop them on here.

First up are these dreamy boots from Topshop with a gold plated heel. I've tried these on in store and love the way they look - minimal but classic and perfect to pair with almost anything. I've been slacking in the accessories department lately but I came across these beautiful earrings from Bauble Bar and knew I had to have them. I think they're perfect for the upcoming holiday season and I love that their silver so they can match anything(they also have them in a variety of colours). I've been loving checked shirts lately (Zara have been doing some great ones) and saw this shirt on Revolve Clothing. I love the light colors of the shirt - it just looks perfect for casual and comfortable days. These Nasty Gal sunglasses have been everywhere recently as their the ones Miss Kylie Jenner was spotted wearing. I love the cut and style of them, I think their different but I love the edgy style of them.

Topshop have been killing it lately with their AW14 collection and there are so many items I'm after.  This bralet and this satin dress are on the top of my wish list as I think they both look so classic and chic. For some reason I'm always drawn to black when it comes to evening wear but I know I need to start branching out. There just something so classic about an LBD or a bralet like this that I love.

For beauty, I've been lusting after a variety of products. I've heard so much about this Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight that I know I need to get my hands on it. It's described as a lightweight highlighter that can be used under the eyes or on the cheekbones to create a glow to the skin. On the topic of dewy skin, the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer has been on my wish list for a while now. I know so many people that use it and love it so I know I'll be getting my hands on it soon. The Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick looks too perfect to be used but I've been after them for quite some time now. Lastly, this Nars palette is perfect for those on the go as you have all your cheek products all in one palette. I think this also makes for a perfect christmas present!  I'll be doing a variety of gift guides for Christmas and the holidays so be sure to check back to see what I include :)

Whats on your wish list this month? Xx A

Generally loving //

Pinterest! I've been so obsessed with it this past week, looking at everything from home decor to beauty products. It's a beautiful visual board and I've been enjoying it a lot lately. I've also been re-doing my whole desk and vanity area and I've invested in some new Muji drawers to store my make up. Their so simple but I love the way they look, especially when a few are stacked up. I also managed to find a perfume / vanity tray from Ikea which I'm using to store all my perfumes and foundations on and it's starting to look organized!

That's it for today's round up but I'm excited to feature lots more holiday themed posts on here! Expect lots of gift ideas and generally lots of beauty and style! Keep updated on Bloglovin here. Thanks for reading! Xx A

Beauty Edit: Nude Lipsticks

If I could only wear one type of lipstick on a daily basis my choice of colour would repeatedly always be nudes. Now I don't mean the type of nude where it looks like you've smeared concealer all over your lips, actually I'm talking about a colour far from it. I'm talking the type of nudes which match your lip color and compliment your skin type. The kind of lipstick that looks effortless but can also be a statement with bold and heavy make up.

It's safe to say I own far too many lipsticks, with a specific concentration on pinks and beiges. I wanted to share a few of my favorites because their the ones I reach to the most. This bunch is a mix of both low and high end prices so there's something for everyone..

First up is Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish lipstick in Posh Tone. I've owned this one for almost a year now and as you can see it's basically on its last legs. This is my perfect 'everyday' lipstick, the 'your lips but better' shade. The formula of the lipstick feels buttery and glides on like a dream. Not to mention it also leaves a glossy effect on the lips and keeps them hydrated. I personally love this formula as I find it very natural and it's become one of my all time favourites.

Secondly we have Giorgio Armani's Rouge Ectasy lipstick in '104'. This lipstick range has been raved about for so long so I know I had to give it a try. It's a little bit more of a true nude but I absolutely love the finish of it. It goes on smooth and leaves a velvet and glossy like finish on the lips. It's my favorite formula of all 4 lipsticks. Rimmel's Kate Lipstick in 03 is a drugstore gem. This is by far the best nude lipstick on the high street in my opinion. It's not too nude or too beige, it has a warm undertone and I find it complents most skin tones. Rimmel do a great range of lipsticks that are purse friendly. Lastly, theres Mac's lipstick in Modesty. I find that this one is a bit more bold and mauve but I love the finish and color it gives. I wear this more at night where I want my lips to stand out.

Other nude lipsticks on my wishlist: Tom Ford 'Pink Dusk', Mac 'Velvet Teddy', Charlotte Tilbury 'Nude Kate.'

Whats your favorite nude lipstick? Have you tried any of these? Xx A

Fall Must Haves

It's been a while since I've done a post on favourites so I thought I'd round up some of the products I've been loving recently…

Transitioning to Fall always means warmer clothes, style changes, cosy jumpers, and a switch up in beauty regimes. Not to mention the weeks leading up to Christmas! The weather in London has made it pretty clear we're very well into the colder months as it's been raining with grey skies for the last couple of days. It's interesting to see that some parts of the world have their Fall season in pure sunshine (cough LA!) and to them Autumn is mainly just a transition in fashion and style. I think I prefer the crispy weather and change in season and of course the Fall fashion shopping! There's still however so much on my wish list which I'll link below.

My make up routine has remained fairly similar apart from a few changes here and there into the autumn months. I'm loving darker lips and fresh dewy skin and I use my trusted Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for a flawless base and a new Sleek Lipstick in 'Vamp' that I recently picked up. Both have been staples in my make up bag for this season. I've rediscovered the L'oreal Voluminous Mascara which has been a favorite of mine for years. I love how this mascara makes my eyelashes look as it lengthens and gives volume to create the perfect false looking lashes. This Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in 'Dolce Vita' has been an absolute staple for me this past month. I haven't used another eyeshadow palette as this is all I need to create any look from day to night! She also has a series of videos explaining how to use her products which I'll link here which makes it easier to use and experiment with.

The Balm is a brand I discovered last month and I have to say I'm loving the products I've been trying. The Blush called 'Frat Boy' and the much raved Mary-Lou Manizer have been two products I've been using daily to give my skin a natural glow. The highlighter is one of the best I've ever used as it gives such a natural finish and glow to the skin. My last beauty must have of the month is Mac's Whirl Lip Liner. I'm sure most of you must have heard of this infamous lip liner by now as its supposedly the one Kylie Jenner uses. I love the color of Whirl and just use it as an overall lip color instead of a liner and it lasts all day long.

Below are some Fall wishlist items that I've currently craving…

Fall Fashion Guide: Save or Splurge

Fall Fashion Style and Social

Coats: Ted Baker // Topshop
Skirt: Carven // Topshop
Boots: Miu Miu // Zara
Sunglasses: Prada // Le Specs
Bags: Stella McCartney // Boohoo

One of the most exciting things about fall is the transition from warm weathers to crisp cold mornings. This involves every aspect of clothing being shifted into the cozy layers and stylish boots, and with the colder months approaching there's always space for shopping for new statement pieces! I only like to splurge on items when I think they're really worth it, and when you'll know you'll get a lot of good use out of it. If their a good make and will last you a couple of years, I think it's better to invest and be satisfied rather than save but end up having to buy something similar within a few months.

Jackets: One thing I love about the colder months is cosying up in big jackets and keeping warm. I love both these jackets and the 'wrap-around' style but the winner for me here is the save! It's a piece by Topshop that I think looks so perfect and cosy. Pairing this coat with a pair of leggings and knee high boots and you're good to go!

Skirt: I think spending a lot of money on designer clothes can be worth it, but for a skirt I'd always go for the cheaper alternative because it's not something I'm going to get a terrible amount of use out off. Also, I think spending a lot of money for one single fashion item (not including bags / shoes!) when it's not out of the ordinary is sometimes just not worth it. The save is a winner in my eyes in this one, and how beautiful is the Topshop skirt anyway!?

Boots: When it comes to shoes I don't mind splurging a little because they're long lasting and can be so versatile. However these shoes are so similar in style - the pointed toe, the open back & the shape in general! I absolutely love this style of boot too - it's extremely classic and I feel like they'll be really popular this fall. You can't beat a pair of Zara shoes and the price is amazing for the value! For the price I'm slightly leaning towards save on this one but I think I would be willing to invest in the Miu Miu's too.

Sunglasses: I'm always on the fence when it comes to sunglasses because I wear them almost daily so I don't mind spending a bit more on them. I actually love both these pairs - the Prada and the Le Specs. I recently discovered Les Specs (available exclusively here) and they do amazing styles of sunglasses. I think it's going to have to be a tie one this one! What do you think?

Clutch: Bags are my weakness so if you know me you'll know what my pick for this choice would be. I love the style of both these clutches - very minimalistic and classic. I would prefer to go for the higher option here and pick the Stella McCartney clutch but this one from Boohoo is amazingly similar and about 1/10th of the price!

Whats your fall favourites? Would you choose save or splurge?

September Lust List

September Lust List

With the transition from summer to fall well under way, I thought I'd share some things that are on my lust list for this month. I'm really loving warm and neutral colours for fall but I've also been a bit obsessed with accesorizing with bold statement pieces.

I know almost everyone has are these type of sandals heels but I've never found the right pair. I tried on these Steve Madden pair recently and love how they fit and flatter your legs. The thin straps makes  your legs appear longer and slimmer and they look really elegant. I love how this nude colour would match almost anything and can be worn both casually and when you feel like dressing up. I love candles in the colder months and thought this Diptyque candle would be the perfect gift to myself as it's a bit of splurge. I've also been really into decorative accessories and came across this Jonathan Adler jewellery tray and fell in love! I love the gold print and think it would look great on any surface to put some jewellery or even business cards. On the topic of golds, I recently discovered Bauble Bar which is the most amazing jewellery website! They have the most unique designs I've seen and their super affordable. I came across this gold bangle and it's exactly like one I've been looking for.

Transitioning into the fall and colder months always means a switch-up in beauty and skincare regimes. I've heard a lot about the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate and think I want to give it a go. You apply it at night on any problem areas and it soothes and recovers your skin - what more would you want?! I also heard about this new foundation by Dior - Diorskin Star Studio Foundation - and if you've read my post about Filming Make Up you'll know how much I want to try this! There are some mixed reviews but I hope it works out, especially as its described for studio / camera make up. Rounding up the beauty lusts are the Nars Gift Set which I think is an incredible value - £37 for this trio of products including a lipgloss, lipstick and nail polish. There's also this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush which I want to try as the colours look so gorgeous. I wasn't super impressed with the Ambient Lighting powder so I'm hoping these are worth a go!

What's on your September lust list? Do you like any of these products? Xo A

Birthday Wishlist

Birthday Wishlistxxx

It's my birthday coming up at the end of this month (August 29th yay!) and I wanted to share my Wishlist with all the products I love! I've been wanting a new bag for a while and think the Michael Kors Selma Bag is absolutely dreamy. I love the style of it and how you can use it both day and night time. It looks super chic and classic. It's also a lot cheaper to purchase some brands such as Michael Kors online / from America because the conversion rate works out a lot better. I tend to shop online at Shopbop - their prices are amazing and they have free international delivery a lot of the time!  Although I love wearing black, I think this Missguided dress is gorgeous and I love the pastel pink colour. I'm thinking of ordering this as I think it'll look pretty for a day time event.

I've been wanting to try Charlotte Tilbury's Film Star Bronze & Glow for a while now, and since its quite pricey I thought asking for it for my birthday would be a good idea. I've heard so many people rave about her line that I want to get my hands on either this or one of her lipsticks! I also love highlighters and having a glowing complexion so the Nars highlighter in Copacabana is perfect for creating a dewy look. I've tried it before and I've loved the way it looked on my skin - so natural and radiant.

I love these Stuart Weitzman shoes but sometimes I just can't justify the price. I've seen the exact same pair for literally an eighth of the price from New Look - here - and they look so similar. Nevertheless the shoes are gorgeous and asking for them for a birthday is always worth it! There have been other little things on my wish list like this Whistles make up bag that make up for really lovely small gifts.

Whats on your wishlist? Xo

June Wishlist

June Wishlist

It's been a while since I've done any sort of wishlist and I completely forgot how fun they were to create! It's finally June {well, almost half way through it!} which means it's time to transition into the summer months and there's always new products and items to fill up the wishlist.  I make my wishlist sets using Polyvore - I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create a simple and clean collage with little fuss.

Seeing as summer is pretty much here there have been quite a few new items on my wishlist. I love going summer shopping and I always have a few things in mind of what I'm looking for or planning to buy. Creating these wishlists are so useful sometimes because you have everything you really want in one place and it makes you look forward to it!

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about this foundation. Most reviews have been positive as they say its a super lightweight foundation that looks 'like skin but better.' I'm determined to get my hands on this for the warmer weather and see how it wears out.

Mac Desert Rose Blush

I tend to go for quite similar shades when it comes blush, all of which are coral or light pink tones. I love the colour of this blush as its a rosy pink and I think it'll look really nice in the summer with a tan.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette

I think most of us have heard about this product by now after Kim Kardashian's make up artist revealed that he used this product on her for her wedding. I'm not quite sure I 100% believe it but nevertheless I still really want to try it! I like that its quite compact so it would be good for travelling.

Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Kalahara

Adding another eyeshadow duo to my collection may not be the smartest but I still find this duo by Nars so gorgeous. I love the rose gold tone of the eyeshadow and think it will be quite handy when travelling.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac bag

Something I've been wanting for a while now is this Rebecca Minkoff bag. I love the gold detailing on the strap and the pale blue colour is perfect for summer. I've been looking on different websites and on Rebecca Minkoff you can get 15% with your first purchase if you sign up to their e-mail :)
It seems to be impossible to get in the UK - does anyone know where it could be bought?

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick

This use to be my go-to highligher but I've been loving Mac's Soft and Gentle recently. I want to get back into using this product because of how there are different shades of gold and bronze in the highlighter that they can be used individually.

Triangl Bikini

I've recently started following Triangl on Instagram and they've lured me in to wanting one of their bikinis so much. I love the bright neon colours and styles of their bikinis as they look quite flattering and fun for the summer. I've heard from a lot of people that getting a size up is best when ordering their bikini's as they do run on the small side.

Nasty Gal Dress

I've always been a fan of Nasty Gal's dresses. Since their an online website and they ship from the US, its always hard finding the perfect fit and having to go through the trouble of returning clothes internationally. I've been looking for a style of dress like this one for a while and think I've found the perfect one! The dress also comes in a variation of colours which is perfect for the summer.

Asos Hampstead Heels

I saw these on my favourite fashion blogger, Kenza, and I instantly knew I had to have them. I love the style of the heels with the simple thin bands as I think it looks quite classy. This colour is perfect for the summer - I need to start buying heels that aren't black!

Thats all from me today, but I want to know whats on your summer wishlist! Also be sure to check back tomorrow for an exciting giveaway!

Playsuit Season

Playsuit Season

Playsuits are the best when it comes to warmer weather.

I've come across quite a few brands and stores where I've found perfect playsuits for the summer so I wanted to share them here on the blog. My go to clothing brand is always Asos, as I somehow always end up finding something I like. Their so versatile and you can find pretty much anything on the site so I tend to do most my shopping there. I also love Missguided, their clothes are always on trend in style. They're also much more affordable too.

My favourites so far include the two tone white and black Asos playsuit (here) and the Topshop playsuit in all black. Both are great for both evening and day wear. Some more day time playsuits I've found and loved are the ones from a brand called Glamorous Cami on Asos. I've never heard of them before but they're playsuits and overall styles are lovely and look like they'd be a good quality. They're also very affordable too.

Rose Golds

Rose Gold

Topshop Earrings // Topshop Playsuit // Saint Laurent Handbag // Michael Kors Watch // Love Necklace // Balenciaga Ring // Michael Kors Bangle // Naked 3 Palette // Michael Kors Ring // Bebe Necklace // Mac Tan Pigment // Balenciaga Wallet

Lately I've been loving Rose Gold. I never really purchased any Rose Gold Jewelery until I was given the Michael Rose Gold Watch for Christmas, and ever since I've been loving matching the jewelery. I try and stay away from mixing and matching golds and silvers but lately I've been only wearing Rose Gold jewellery.

The Topshop Pastel Stone Drop Earrings mixes pastel colours and rose gold at the same time which I love. I'm usually not a fan of earrings, but I think these would look nice for a special occasion or in the summer time. I also love this White Playsuit from Topshop. I don't own enough white clothes {does anyone else have this problem?} so I came across this when browsing the site and thought it was great for daytime wear. Topshop are also having 20% off for Students so its the perfect time to get shopping if you have anything on your wishlist (here).

Saint Laurent, I don't know where to start. *One day* I will get my hands on this bag but until then it'll forever be waiting in my checkout bag on Net-a-Porter. I tend to do that a lot and end up feeling depressed when you look through your shopping bag and realize none of the products in it are at all realistic. Speaking of high end items, the Balenciaga jewellery line does not seem to fail. This Balenciaga ring is an absolute dream. I love the simplicity and design of it. Michael Kors also do a great range of rose gold jewelery in which I've purchased before. I love the Matchstick ring from their collection and think it would look perfect to wear in the evening.

Sidenote: I purchased a beaded bracelet from Michael Kors that was made from elastic band and it ended up breaking very soon after the purchase. I recommend that you're very careful if you are thinking of purchasing their beaded bracelets as I much prefer their solid bangles and cuffs!

I came across this cute 'love' necklace which I noticed is on sale for $5 from Aeropostale. I've never shopped with them before but I thought it was adorable and fit perfectly into the rose gold theme. Grab it whilst its available!

Onto the beauty products. I'm sure most of you have heard about the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette by now  which saves me rambling on. The palette features mostly rose gold and copper tones eye-shadows that compliment any skin tone. My favourite is 'Trick' and 'Liar' from the palette and I love using them together to create an almost smokey but golden look. Mac's Tan Pigment also delivers the same results: a rose gold shimmery eyeshadow. I recommend using some spray or Fix+ before applying any pigment to ensure longevity and no fall out.

Must Have: Spring Edition

Must Have: Spring Edition

With Spring quickly approaching, I've been loving pastels and patterns. The weather is finally getting warmer and the brights are replacing the blacks. I have a lot of items on my wishlist, but I think these are perfect for Spring and the upcoming warmer months.

I've fallen in love with these Saint Laurent Classic Tribute Heels. They come in a variety of colours and are perfect for Spring/ Summer. I love the T-bar on the heels which are always flattering on anyone. Layering necklaces has been really popular lately and I love these ones I found on Forever 21.They are extremely cheap and would go really well with this pale nude Topshop Skinny Tailored Blazer (here) . If you're anything like me, the only blazers I own are black - which is why I loved this Tailored blazer from Topshop in this colour. These Topshop Monochrome Shorts (here) are perfect for warm days out and would look amazing paired with a white tank top. In addition to all the fashion items, of course there have to be some beauty staples. Chanel Lipstick in 'Boy' (here)  is one of my all time favourite lipsticks. Its a warm nude that is on the rosier and pinkier side so it adds some colour to the lips whilst also moisturizing and keeping them hydrated. Bobbi Brown Bronzer (here) is one of my go-to's in the warmer weather as it is so lightweight and gives a very natural glow, which is perfect for when you're under the sun beam constantly.

April Wishist Featuring Mulberry, Zara, etc

April Wishlist

Mulberry Bayswater tote here // Mac Lipstick in Pure Zen here // Ray Ban Oversized Avaitors here// Zara Red High Heel Shoes here // Mac Blush in Desert Rose here // Oh My Love Floral Playsuit here

I don't know how April has come by so quickly but nevertheless I've already started shopping for Spring/ Summer essentials. My wishlist is a mixture of both high end brands and high street beauty products that I've been lusting over lately. I've had my eye on the Mac 'Pure Zen' lipstick and 'Desert Rose' blush for a while so I'm hoping I'll get my hands on them this month. The Mulberry Bayswater tote has been an absolute favourite of mine for years - I love how simple yet classic it is. This bag holds a permanent spot on my wishlist!

Adding some colour and variety to your wardrobe is always the best way to transition into the Spring/ Summer months and to brush away the Winter blues. I've heard the weather in London has been getting warmer and Spring has finally arrived {New York is still battling the cold weather with frequent snow showers and blizzards} so its time to take advantage of the warmer days!

Most brands and online stores have already brought out their Spring/ Summer collections so its the perfect time to go shopping for the upcoming seasons before everything becomes limited in sizes!

Whats on your April Wishlist?
