Review: Tom Ford Golden Minx Eye Colour Quad

Every time I've walked past the Tom Ford counter I would always find myself checking out these eyeshadow palettes and swatching them on the back of my hand. I fell in love with the colours and the different selection of palettes they had. I was luckily gifted one as a Christmas present this year and I can’t get enough of how beautiful this palette truly is.

The Golden Minx palette includes four shades. I use the first shade all over my eye and I spray my eyeshadow brush with some Fix+ and dip it into it to pick up more pigment. The second bronze shade is my favourite shade out of them all. This is perfect for when you want to make your eye look stand out and add some shimmer - I always reach for this colour in the evenings. I like to use the third minx shade in the outer corners of the eye and smoke it out with the last bronze colour in the Golden Minx palette. The colours all work together perfectly and you can easily create a day time and evening look with these colours.

The packaging is what you'd expect from a Tom Ford product and more - the sleek compact comes with a very good size mirror which is super handy when you're applying make up on the go. It also comes with two eyeshadow brushes that are double ended so again great for having for travel.  I always prefer to use my own eyeshadow brushes but if I didn't have one with me I know these would do a good job too.

These palettes are expensive but I'd definitely recommend them - the value you get for what you pay is made up in the packaging and amazing quality and pigmentation of the shadows. If you like the look of this palette I also recommend the Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage palette, which has a few bronze matte shades, and the Cognac Sable palette which have similar darker smokey colours.

What do you think of this Tom Ford palette? Have you tried anything from Tom Ford? A xx
