Minimal Everyday Make Up Essentials

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I just posted this photo sharing two key products that I like to use on a daily basis. As much as I love a full glam look, minimal make up days are usually what I go for on a daily basis and then switch it up when I need to.

I got this a few months ago and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It's the perfect mauve shade and it looks flattering on all skin tones. This is a matte lipstick which stays on all day and doesn't dry out the lips.

With so many beautiful blushes in her collection, choosing one was much harder than it normally is.  I went for Ecstasy, a golden pink that gives a youthful glow to the skin. I absolutely love the colour, but it was the pigmentation of the blusher that blew me away as it lasts all day and doesn't get patchy on the skin after long hours.

Other everyday make up essentials?  I'll be writing a full detailed post on my everyday make up soon but right now I'm using the Nars Tinted Moisturiser in St. Moritz as a base, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer, Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara and Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette as a contour and highlight. Super simple and can be achieved in 10 minutes!

3 High End Lipsticks To Try

High end lipsticks, beauty, make up, lipstick, tom ford lipstick swatch, nars, charlotte tilbury

If you know me, you'll know that I love lipstick. Whether it's from a high street brand or high end, I love trying different formulas and finishes. My collection includes a range of lipsticks varied in prices and today I want to talk about some great high end options that are worth the money.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution, £23
Charlotte Tilbury has become one of the best selling make up brands in the past few years and there's a good reason for that. Her lipsticks are nothing short of amazing, with a good range of colours and formulas that you can choose from. My favourite shade is Bond Girl, a muted mauve rose which is a perfect everyday lip colour. I'd also recommend Very Victoria & Love Liberty

These lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas. They go on extremely smooth and stay put for hours. The Audacious range include 17 colours so there's plenty of choice when picking a shade. My favourite shade is Barbara, which is a cool toned nude, but I've got my eye on Anita and Charlotte as my next purchases.

Tom Ford Lips & Boys, £27
Tom Ford is a very luxurious beauty brand but you get exactly what you pay for. The packaging, quality and longevity of the products are justified by the price and I'd definitely recommend trying out their limited edition Lips & Boys lipstick collection. My choice of colour: Addison & Cary.

10 Inspiring Quotes To Get You Through Your Day

Do what you love // Seriously - there's not enough time to waste around and do things that aren't fulfilling YOU. Do what you love and love what you do in any situation.

Make it happen // Remember, only you can make it happen, no-one else. Whatever's running through your mind right now, you and only you have the power to control it. Make it happen.

Love your self // Life's too short not to. Whatever you're going through, loving yourself instead of putting yourself down will make things a whole lot easier for you. So start with loving yourself and being confident and see what happens!

You will never regret being kind // Always be the one who smiles instead of the one who doesn't smile back. Kindness goes a long way.
Dream big, work hard, stay focused & surround yourself with good people // All of these are very important. What you put in is what you get.

What a wonderful thought that some of the best days of our lives haven't happened yet // Isn't this a great thing to think about? When we think of some of the best days from our past, there are still days like that waiting for us in the future. So whatever you're stressing about now, I can guarantee it won't be important later down the line.

Enjoy today // Enjoy today and start each day with a positive thought.

Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change // If you change your outlook and perspective on life, and think much more positively, the things you see and notice will change with your thoughts. Always remember the glass is half full.

Keep going, you are getting there // Whether your think it or not, you're doing a lot more than you think. Keep going.
It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop // It's all about timing so trust your instincts and keep going, don't stop.

Thanks for reading. A xx

Beauty Saviours For Fashion Week

Fashion Week can be a stressful time of running between shows and having little time to get everything together. As someone who tends to leave things to the last minute, I try and plan in advance as much as I can because I know the chaos I'll be experiencing later down the line! These are my top beauty saviours that will get you through the rush of Fashion Week.

1. All-in-One Oil, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Oil £28

Hear me out on this one. This Elizabeth Arden 8 hour Oil is for your face, body and skin and leaves you feeling fresh and glowy. It's called a miracle oil for a reason and it's great to take with you when you travel.

2. Cleanser, Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip £35
This gel-based cleanser will leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed after a long day. It's enriched with green clay and Vitamin C that helps clear your skin and calm your skin.

3. Dry Shampoo, Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray £19

My favourite voluminzig spray is this one by Oribe and it works wonders. It doubles up as a dry shampoo which brings the moisture back to your hair, and it also gives you instant volume when you spray it on both the roots and the ends. This product comes in a handbag size which is perfect to throw in your bag and touch up in-between shows.

I always like to have some sort of facial scent in my handbag for touch ups. It keeps your make up and skin fresh and you can touch up on the go.

Other saviours:

Make up Wipes: This may seem like an obvious one but having make up wipes to-go are a big beauty saviour. If you need to touch up or re-apply, having these with you will allow you to do so when you're in-between shows. I recommend the Simple Make up Wipes.

Lip Balm: With this fashion month being in mid February, we know the weather temperatures are going to be cold. Having a lip balm with you ensures your moisturising your lips and stops them from getting dry and chapped. Favourite: Kiehls Hydrating Lip Balm.

5 Places To Go For Brunch In London | Lifestyle

Duck & Waffle

Located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, you have the whole of London as your background in this hot spot. Duck and Waffle is one of my favourite brunch spots because they offer brunch exclusively as a meal alongside breakfast, lunch and dinner. The vibe inside is loud and buzzy and you can easily spend hours at the restaurant either eating, enjoying the views or having a drink at the bar.

Granger & Co

Granger & Co has an extremely warm and relaxed vibe that makes you feel welcome the instant you step inside. Offering a menu that spoils every brunch lover for choice, this is a great spot to catch up with a friend or go for a casual meal. The cosy spot in Notting Hill is always busy so make sure you get there early if you want a spot.

Dean St Townhouse

Dean St Townhouse is a great brunch spot located right in the heart of London in Soho. The inside vibe is casual, where it's not always necessary to book and if it's warm outside I'd recommend trying to get a table outside. This spot is great for mid-shopping stops to grab a coffee and the menu is well priced so it won't cost you a fortune.

The Modern Pantry

The Modern Pantry is a contemporary space perfect for those who want options at brunch. They offer an extensive menu with plenty of choice depending on the mood you're in. It's a great restaurant for those hungover lazy brunch days. I'd definitely recommend here if you're near the Clerkenwell area.

A popular choice for tourists in the city, Balthazar is located in Covent Garden and always packed with people. The interior reminds me of a busy New York restaurant and the service is always great regardless of the popularity.

So, what's your favourite place to go for brunch? Let me know what you think in the comments below. A x

January Favourites

January beauty favourites, best products of january, must try beauty products, beauty blogger, skincare, foundation

January was an interesting month. With the excitement of the holidays and New Year being over, it kicked off to a slow start but started to get more exciting as the days went on. I did some travelling this month where I was in Istanbul for a week and the rest of the time I've been home in London. The weather has been getting quite cold here lately so I'm glad that we're slowly moving towards the warmer months!

In terms of beauty, I've been using the beauty gifts I got for Christmas which I've been absolutely loving. Whenever I usually write a monthly favourites I'll focus primarily on beauty, but I want to switch things up. My monthly favourites will still feature products I've been loving, but also take a direction towards more everyday and lifestyle features - e.g drinks/food I'm loving to even something I've seen and wanted to share.

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation | shop here

This foundation has been one of my favourite for years. Towards the end of last year, I was trying and testing out some new foundations so this one kind of got neglected. When I started using it again it made such a difference to the way my make up looked and I've been loving it lately.

Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer | shop here

Whenever someone asks me to recommend them a concealer, it’s always this one. It does exactly what it promises: the consistency is creamy and leaves a radiant sheen to the skin. The best part of this concealer is the coverage: I wasn’t expecting it to cover as much as it does when I first started using this which is a great bonus.

Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ocre | shop here

I had been wanting to try out this eyeshadow primer for a while now as it had great reviews on it, and it's quickly become my everyday staple. I apply this before my eyeshadow and it gives me a canvas to work with which makes my eyeshadow stay on much longer and leaves the colour looking much more pigmented.

Mac Viva Glam Lipstick II | shop here

This is one of my go-to nude lipsticks. I actually did pick this up this month after wanting it for a while and I love it - it's a very nude kylie jenner-esque lipstick. The best part about this lipstick is that every purchase goes to the Mac Aids foundation, so you're shopping for a good cause!

Mac Lipgloss in Deelight | shop here

Over the last few months I've stayed away from lipgloss and just kept to my lip liner & matte lipstick routine. I used to love wearing lipgloss and since picking up this one from Mac, I've been loving wearing them again.

Everyday trainers: Nike Juvenate | SHOP HERE

I've been living in these trainers this month - I wear them on days I don't work out more often than the days that I do as they're super comfortable and go with everything.

Skincare Saviour: Kiehls Moisturizer | SHOP HERE

My skin was getting really dry at the beginning of this month and the moisturiser I was using previously just wasn't doing the job, so I decided to purchase this Kiehls one and it's great. I've noticed that it's really made a difference to the appearance of my skin, especially when I apply make up. I also love that it's fragrance free so it's great if you have sensitive skin.

Drink: Iced Chai Tea Latte

Call me crazy but I'm that person that still drinks iced drinks in the Winter. I recently branched out from my all time favourite drink (Iced caramel latte - heavenly) and I've been loving this alternative for Winter. Try it and let me know what you think!

What are some of your favourites from the month? A xx
